Setting Up With Square As A Payment Method

 

Set up a Square account here and use the video tutorial along with the following instructions to enable it on your BoothBook.

  • Click the Configuration (cog) icon on the tool bar on the left, Global Settings, scroll down to the Payment fieldset area.
  • Click Square Up and select Enable Square up as a payment method. 
  • Check Test mode is enabled. 

 

  • Open your SquareUp account in a separate tab in your browser.
  • Click Apps on the left hand menu then My Apps at the top of the page.
  • Click Go To Developer Portal on the right hand side of the page.
  • Click Add a New Application and name it BoothBook Connect.
  • Click Show on Personal Access Token and copy the token.

 

  • Navigate back to your BoothBook dashboard and the Square up settings and paste the Personal Access token in to the top box. 
  • Repeat for Application ID 
  • Repeat for Sandbox Access token and application ID

 

  • Back in your Square up account, c lick Locations on at the top of the page. 
  • Copy Location ID Sandbox location ID. 

 

  • Paste these into the relevant fields in your BoothBook
  • Click Save Configuration
  • Test using a SquareUp test card from here.
  • Once you are happy with your SquareUp payment gateway, go back into Configuration (cog) > Global Settings > Payment > Square and untick Test Mode Enabled.
  • Click Save Configuration

You may like to try processing a small transaction to ensure it works on a live payment.
